Evaluation of the District Superintendent is a critical responsibility of the Board of School Directors. The evaluation is based on the assessment of the following areas:

- Ethical Leadership

Dr. Gennaro R. Piraino, Jr. received a Distinguished rating from the Franklin Regional Board of School Directors for the 2022/2023 school year.
Dr. Gennaro R. Piraino, Jr. received a Distinguished rating from the Franklin Regional Board of School Directors for the 2021/2022 school year.
Dr. Gennaro R. Piraino, Jr. received a Distinguished rating from the Franklin Regional Board of School Directors for the 2020/2021 school year.

Dr. Piraino is a passionate and fully committed advocate for the education of children. By selecting and leading an outstandingly strong, talented support group of administrative and teaching professionals, he is positioning the Franklin Regional School District to achieve an extremely high level of student achievement. The fruit of Dr. Piraino’s “Vision” in academic, arts, athletics, & technical careers is increasingly visible to the Board, the school community, the Murrysville/Export/Delmont communities, and his peers in Pennsylvania. Dr. Piraino has moved the entire process of guidance and administration to a higher level than existed previously. He is the guiding force in each and every standing committee. With Board approval and support, Dr. Piraino created the Franklin Regional SD Foundation. Well underway, this entity’s goal is to bring community and business financial support for targeted projects. It is off to a roaring start. Dr. Piraino has cultivated and maintains a growing collaboration with numerous community, county, and business entities. In today’s environment, Dr. Piraino recognized the utmost importance in transparency and collaboration with individuals and groups outside of the school district proper. The Franklin Regional School Board unanimously lauds Dr. Piraino’s accomplishments and fully supports him and his “Vision” for FRSD.
